Final games

The second to last game of the season got snowed out. Imagine that in the crazy winter that we've had.

We then had the kids against parents last practice game. It was a battle but the boys came out on top 48-46.

Then in the final game of the year, the Sharks lost to the Mustangs 23-7. Joey hit a three to get the game going and the Sharks led 3-1 after the first quarter. But they couldn't find much offense the rest of the way. Bret led the team with four points.

Thanks again for another fun year. Despite not winning a game, I think the boys keep trying and learning every step of the way and I look forward to next season.

Sharks vs. Huskers

The Sharks played one of their best games of the year in a 39-22 loss to the Huskers on Southeast Court 3 on Sunday afternoon. After a tough start, the Sharks came back and showed the ability to put the ball in the basket.

Austin led the team with eight points. Seth added 5, Brendan had three while Grant, Nate and Joey each had two.

Sharks vs. Lincoln Knights

The Sharks lost on North Star Court 2 47-9 to the Lincoln Knights.

Jack led the team with five points. Seth and Nate each had 2.

Sharks vs. Magic

The Sharks lost to the Magic 39-6 at the Southwest Gym 4 on Sunday night.

Jack, Austin and Jake each had two points.

Sharks vs. Milford Eagles

The Sharks fell to the Milford Eagles 28-8 in action Sunday night at the Lincoln Southwest gym.

Bret, Seth, and Jake each had two points. Brendan and Nate each added a point.

Game 6

The Sharks got their offense going in the second half but fell to the Beatrice White 34-17 in action at Court 2 at Southwest gym on Sunday afternoon.

Nate led the Sharks with eight points. Joey added a three-pointer. Bret, Seth and Jack all scored two points.

Doubleheader day games 4 and 5

It was a tough day of the ball not going through the hoops for the Sharks in pair of losses.

They lost the opener to the Swish on Southeast Court 4 30-5. Brendan had three and Jack had 2.

Then they traveled over to Southeast Court 3 and lost to the Fairbury Hoops (who finished 8-4 in the league last year) 44-9. Brendan and Nate each had four while Jack had 1.

The Sharks are off again until Jan. 10.

We will have our normal night of practice on Monday nights at 7 p.m. at Pound.

We have also added a second night at 9 p.m. on Friday night at Pound on the new court. It will give us a chance to shoot out and play some pickup games but it's not mandatory to be there.
